Hello. Sincerely, I welcome everybody who takes an interest in and visits the Department of Electronic Materials Engineering at Kwangwoon University. Entering the global era of the 21st century, in which the complex applications of diverse materials are required, the department trains its students to acquire various cutting-edge knowledge and cosmopolitan outlook through the best quality education and researches in the fields, such as information technology, nanotechnology and environment/energy technology. To achieve this, the faculty composed of 99 professors who have made remarkable achievements in each field and built up research experiences, are devoting themselves to the education for the students, helping each other like a family. Since 2011 when the school system was changed into the department-oriented system, the student have kept a strong sense of belonging and studied under systematic system in which the close relationship with professors is maintained, including senior-junior relationship. The students are cultivating creative thinking and personality with which they will play a pivot role in take the lead in future material engineering fields and relevant industries. I believe that your warm-hearted interest and encouragement will be foundations for training the best electronic material engineers. All members of our department, including the professors and students, will make best efforts to lead our department to be the outstanding group in material development and education.
